Welcome to the world of modeling and simulation (M&S)! M&S is being used worldwide by the military, industry, and academia as a technological enabler to enhance analysis, acquisition, and training. This course introduces M&S concepts, explains how simulations work, explores how M&S is used, and forecasts where M&S technology is heading. Includes hands-on experiences with simulations and developing simple simulations.

Instructor: David Gross
Biography: David Gross is a Systems Engineer and Associate Technical Fellow with The Boeing Company's Analysis, Modeling, Simulation, and Experimentation group. Dr. David Gross is the Chief Technologist for simulation-based experimentation and an Associate Technical Fellow in Boeing's Integrated Defense Systems. He has experience in every aspect of simulation development and application. Dr. Gross has been a prime contributor to the Department of Defense's modeling and simulation recommended practices. He holds a BS in Computer Science from Auburn, a Masters in Operations Research from UAHuntsville, and PhD in human computer interfaces and simulation engineering from the University of Central Florida.
