Course: Introduction to XML
Discover the power of XML. The eXtensible Markup Language (XML) is revolutionizing Internet interactivity, providing an easier method to conduct business to business transactions and a more efficient and effective means to search and manage the behind the scenes data. XML provides the bridge between the user's interface and the site's data driven interactive features. This hands-on program will prepare you to build enterprise solutions to enhance your site's capabilities.

The eXtensible Markup Language (XML) seems to be used almost everywhere in software development today from simple configuration files to Web services and even XML-based database engines. You will learn the XML syntax to create well formed and valid XML documents as well as XML document type definitions (DTD). You will learn how to transform XML into readable output using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and eXtensible Stylesheet Language (XSL). This course will provide the foundation you need for working with XML in your application solutions. Hands-on exercises will be used to enhance your learning experience.

With 20 years of experience in IT areas, he is experienced in planning, designing, developing, deploying, and managing highly complex information technology infrastructures and systems. His programming experience includes C/C++, HTML/DHTML/XHTML, Perl, PHP, XML, JavaScript, Expect, AJAX, Tcl/Tk, Java, Motif/X/GTK+, and Python. Mr. Busby is a certified Brainbench PHP4 Master. His career history includes work in service, chemical, and government industries.
