Our Mission

The Division of Continuing Education at The University of Alabama in Huntsville is committed to meeting the diverse needs of organizations, agencies, and individuals through selected credit and non-credit programs which are timely, relevant, and in accordance with the strategic directions of the University.

The Division of Continuing Education provides access to quality education and training for individuals; partners with businesses and government for workforce development; public awareness of the instructional and research strengths of the University; promotes lifelong learning fostering continued growth, human fulfillment, and positive social change; and supports economic development throughout North Alabama.

Commitments

Responsive Educational Programming: Identify and develop timely and innovative programs and services, utilizing expertise both internal to the University and globally, to respond to the changing needs of the customer.

Economic Development: Develop partnerships with community and professional organizations to identify and deliver education to meet the needs of targeted constituencies and encourage economic growth.

Lifelong Learning: Encourage and facilitate the continued development of the educated person, dedicated to the belief that lifelong learning contributes to human fulfillment and positive social change.

Internal Relations: Initiate, encourage, and participate in collaborative efforts across the University.

Dynamic Delivery Systems: Identify and implement the most efficient systems and technology to expand access and effectively serve our internal and external customers.
